Itinerary
Morning: Depart from Nairobi and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, located in the Great Rift Valley. Late Morning: Arrive in time for a game drive en route to the campsite. Spot a variety of wildlife including waterbucks, zebras, and baboons as you head to the shores of the lake. Afternoon: After lunch, explore Lake Nakuru, famous for its flocks of flamingos and rhinos. Look out for Rothschild giraffes and, if you're lucky, the rare tree-climbing lions. Evening: Settle into your campsite for dinner and an overnight stay under the stars. Overnight: Camping at Lake Nakuru.
Morning: After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru, where you’ll have one last chance to spot wildlife. Late Morning: Depart for the Maasai Mara, traveling through the beautiful landscape of the Great Rift Valley. Afternoon: Arrive at Maasai Mara in time for an afternoon game drive. Spot elephants, lions, cheetahs, and other wildlife as you head to your campsite. Evening: Set up camp, enjoy dinner, and relax around a campfire as you listen to the sounds of the African wilderness. Overnight: Camping in Maasai Mara.
Morning & Afternoon: Set out for a full day of game drives in the Maasai Mara. Explore the vast plains and spot wildlife including the Big Five: lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the Great Migration of wildebeests and zebras crossing the Mara River. Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and wildlife. Evening: Return to the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay. Overnight: Camping in Maasai Mara.
Morning & Afternoon: Continue your exploration of the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. Today, visit different regions of the reserve for a chance to see cheetahs hunting, hippos in the Mara River, and herds of giraffes grazing. Optional Cultural Visit: You can also take part in an optional visit to a local Maasai village, where you’ll learn about the Maasai people's customs, traditions, and way of life. Evening: Return to camp for a relaxed evening around the campfire. Overnight: Camping in Maasai Mara.
Morning: After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you leave the Maasai Mara and head towards Lake Naivasha. Afternoon: Arrive at Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake in the Great Rift Valley, and set up camp. Take an optional boat ride on the lake to see hippos and a variety of bird species. Optional Activity: Visit Crescent Island for a walking safari among giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. Evening: Return to the campsite for dinner and overnight stay. Overnight: Camping at Lake Naivasha.
Morning: After breakfast, pack up your campsite and head back to Nairobi. You can enjoy a scenic drive back with an optional stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos. Afternoon: Arrive in Nairobi in the early afternoon, marking the end of your safari adventure.
