Overview

From the Masai Mara we will extend our safari to the pink shores of Lake Naivsha before we drive to Samburu Game Reserve for some unusual wildlife of the north. From Samburu, we will visit the low altitudes of Mount Kenya.

The Itinerary Plan:

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Leave Nairobi for the Masai Mara with a stop over at the Rift Valley view point for the spectacular view of the plains and the beautiful view of Mt Longonot, the highest mountain on the Great Rift Valley (2777 M). Embark on your journey with another stop over in Narok, the Maasai City for a cup of tea/coffee .Arrive in Maasai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch, relax and start your safari at 1600 hours. This is wildlife paradise as well as birds and you are likely to see the big five animals on the first day. Return to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Masai Mara

On this day you get prepared for a long safari in the reserve. Leave the lodge or camp with packed breakfast and packed lunch. This is a game drive day with enough time to visit the Mara River and see the Crocodiles and Hippos. There are lots of plain animals like the Topi, Zebra, Wild Beasts, Gazelles and many more others. To be found also are the predators that are awaiting for you as well as the beautiful landscape. After a successful day in the reserve, drive back to the lodge /camp for your dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Mara – Lake Naivasha

After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha. Arrive at the lodge on time for lunch. After lunch you’ll have a boat ride on this fresh water lake and be close to the Hippos and plenty of birds found here. Drive back to the lodge for your overnight. This place has high Altitude of around 1900 meters above sea level so the nights are cooler. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Samburu

This is a great day for your discoveries. After breakfast, depart Naivasha for Samburu National Reserve through Kenya’s water tower as called ,The Aberdares. The landscape and the natural forest will leave you with a big surprise. Visit one of the many water falls The Chania Falls. Proceed with your safari to Samburu but with a lunch stop over at one of the special restaurants and enjoy a trout fresh trout fish. After lunch you will embark on your journey arriving in the reserve in the afternoon. Have a game drive en route to the lodge or camp arriving at 0600hrs. This is a small reserve but rich with special animals found only here. These are the Grevy Zebras, Reticulated giraffes , Gerenuk Antilope and many other more. Dinner and over night at the lodge or camp.

Day 5: Samburu

Due to the warm but beautiful temperatures of Samburu, have your early breakfast and have a half day safari and drive back to the lodge or camp for lunch and relax at the pool while throwing glances on the Ewaso Nyiro River for different wildlife coming for a drink. Afternoon game drive or safari is awaiting to get to enjoy more of the wildlife flora and fauna not forgetting the landscape of the beautiful Mathew’s Range. Dinner and over night at the lodge or camp.

Day 6: Samburu – Sweet Waters

This is a day you travel for around 100 kms to the Sweet Waters Lodge. After a sumptuous breakfast depart with a game en route before checking out of the park. You’ll drive uphill from Isiolo town while having a nice view of Mount Kenya and the vast wheat and flower plantations. You’ll arrive at Nanyuki where the Equator Line crosses. Remember you are in Mt Kenya region so weather permitting you may capture the best photos of the second highest Africa’s mountain. 16 km you arrive at this special wildlife Conservancy where the Chimpanzees are well taken care of after having been rescued from different African countries. Have lunch and relax at the swimming pool overlooking the waterhole that attracts all the animals from the big five to the plain animals. Afternoon game drive or safari looking for the rarely seen African wild dogs. There are so many other animals to be seen in this park including the elusive Leopard, Lions, African Hunting Dogs, Black Rhino and White Rhino. Return to the Lodge for dinner and over night.

Day 7: Sweet Waters – Nairobi

After tea or coffee, have an early game drive looking for the predators hunting before coming back to the lodge for your breakfast. After breakfast, put your luggage for the porters for a drive back to Nairobi arriving on time for lunch. After lunch you’ll be driven to either your hotel or airport for your flight.

Term & Condition
Payments A non-refundable deposit of 20%, but not less than US$300, must be made and a confirmation issued by the Company before any binding contract exists. Once we receive your deposit we will invoice you for the remainder of the tour cost. This must be paid not less than 45 days before the start of the tour (or by an alternative date agreed between you and the Company). If you book less than 45 days before departure, you must pay for the tour in full as soon as you book, unless you make alternative arrangements with the Company. If you do not pay your balance by the agreed time, the Company reserves the right to cancel your booking or pursue any unpaid monies.
