Overview
Lake Victoria is one of the African Great Lakes. The deepest part of the lake is offset to the east of the lake near Kenya and the lake is generally shallower in the west along the Ugandan border.
The Itinerary Plan:
Day 1: Lake Nakuru – Asembo, Siaya
This morning we will leave Nairobi for a long drive to Asembo Bay through the lakeside city of Kisumu. We will have several stopovers on our way with the most notable one being at the tea belt zone in Kericho. We will again stop on the plains of Nyanza for sugar cane and the rice fields. Our arrival in Asembo is after lunch where after checking in we will enjoy the evening in the village. We will settle for a home stay experience where dinner will be served before we settle for the night.

Day 2: Alego Kogelo
This morning we will depart Asembo to visit the Kenyan home of the former President of the United State of America, His Excellency Barack Hussein Obama. We are here for a one and one interaction with the mostly celebrated Mama Sarah Obama. We will then leave Alego Kogelo for a visit to a local school to donate some stationery to pupils from this humble background. Later on we will drive back to the village for a home stay accommodation and dinner.
Day 3: Alego – Lake Victoria
We will leave Alego in the morning for drive then on ferry crossing to the southern part of Lake Victoria. Our arrival here will be in time for lunch. We will spend the afternoon exploring the world’s second largest lake, Victoria. We will later go back to the lodge for dinner and the night.

Day 4: Ruma National Park
We will have an early breakfast followed by game drive in Ruma National Park. Ruma national park is known for its rare game as well as the Blue Swallow, a migrant bird from South Africa and the looming and very captivating Kanyamwa escarpment, Ruri and Gwasii Hills among others. Picnic lunch is to be served in the park. We shall later leave the park and drive to the shoreline of Lake Victoria arriving here in the evening for dinner and the night at the lodge.
We will have an early breakfast followed by game drive in Ruma National Park. Ruma national park is known for its rare game as well as the Blue Swallow, a migrant bird from South Africa and the looming and very captivating Kanyamwa escarpment, Ruri and Gwasii Hills among others. Picnic lunch is to be served in the park. We shall later leave the park and drive to the shoreline of Lake Victoria arriving here in the evening for dinner and the night at the lodge.
Day 5: Lake Victoria – Masai Mara
This morning we will depart Lake Victoria’s shoreline after breakfast and drive through the lush green Kisii highlands and then further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Later on we will venture out in search of some wildlife during the afternoon game drive. We will settle for dinner and the night at the lodge.
This morning we will depart Lake Victoria’s shoreline after breakfast and drive through the lush green Kisii highlands and then further along the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara Game Reserve arriving in time for lunch. Later on we will venture out in search of some wildlife during the afternoon game drive. We will settle for dinner and the night at the lodge.
Day 6: Masai Mara
An early wake up call for breakfast to be followed by a full day game drive in search of more wildlife and birds in the Mara. Our drive today will bring us more closely to the unknown lives of wildlife in the Masai Mara. Again this exploration will lead us all the way to ‘the River of Life and Death’, the Mara River, where we will see hippos and crocodiles basking lazily on the river banks. We will enjoy a picnic lunch will here while we enjoy the cool atmosphere of riverbanks. After lunch we will drive appreciating more wildlife and sceneries on our way back for dinner and the night at the lodge.Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi
This morning we will have breakfast or for those who are considering doing a hot air balloon flight (Optional Extra – USD $ 450 person) and this is to be followed by a visit to Masai village (Optional Extra – USD $ 25 per person) for a cultural experience. From here we will now leave the Masai Mara countryside and drive back to Nairobi arriving at around afternoon. Drop at your hotel or transfer to the airport for onward flight home.

Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 20%, but not less than US$300, must be made and a confirmation issued by the Company before any binding contract exists. Once we receive your deposit we will invoice you for the remainder of the tour cost. This must be paid not less than 45 days before the start of the tour (or by an alternative date agreed between you and the Company). If you book less than 45 days before departure, you must pay for the tour in full as soon as you book, unless you make alternative arrangements with the Company. If you do not pay your balance by the agreed time, the Company reserves the right to cancel your booking or pursue any unpaid monies.
